About Freddy

I paint Neo-abstract, Nouveau Realism, Expressionism, and my style could be thought of as human-form-abstract-expressionism.  My art is focused on humanity. I like to experiment with the range of facial emotions, facial pareidolia, and sometimes accentuating facial features to make a face more expressive. Sometimes I like to try to paint images of animalistic feelings, or animalize facial parts. I accept that we’re animals, I love animals. When I make a face painting, I try to make the painting seem conscious to the viewer, sometimes looking directly back at you.

I paint quickly and allow the image to unfold like a jazz improvisation. Each canvas is a new experimentation, mood, and expression.
